Abstract: Trying to integrate regional ethnic elements based on the appearance of city buses, so as to create more tourism attractions for the local, and as the sane time beautifying the environment and enhancing the ethnic cultural atmosphere of the city. This paper analyzes the current situation and ways for improvement of city buses appearance in ethnic, including serious homogenization, insufficient coordination with the urban environment, also lack of period feeling. The design practice is carried out for Huhehot city through questionnaire survey and hierarchical evaluation, mongolian yurts are extracted as local ethnic characteristics to be combined into appearance of bus in Huhehot city, also combining hydrogen fuel of new energy as function which is taking for driving force. Summarizing process and ways for creating distinctive appearance of city buses in ethnic regions, for assisting development of local tourism industry by city buses.

摘要： 尝试基于城市客车外观融入区域民族元素，从而为当地营造出更多旅游吸引物，同时 美化城市环境，增强城市民族氛围感。文章分析了民族地区城市客车外观现状及可改进的方 面，包括同质化严重、与城市环境不够协调，以及缺乏时代感等主要问题。以呼和浩特市客 车为例展开设计实践，通过问卷调查和分级评价法，提取出蒙古包作为当地民族特色元素融 入呼和浩特市客车外观，并从功能上结合新能源中的氢燃料作为驱动力。归纳出民族地区城 市客车外观特色化打造流程与手法，从而使城市客车助力当地旅游业的发展。
