The Influence of the Opening Rate of the Mesh Cover on the Frequency Response and Sound Quality of Loudspeaker in Vehicle

车载扬声器网罩开孔率对其频响及音质的影响

Abstract: Loudspeakers in cars are typically positioned in the car door panel, A-pillar, and other areas. To meet aesthetic requirements, a mesh cover is commonly used to shield them. However, the mesh cover can alter the radiation characteristics of the loudspeakers, which can negatively impact the sound reproduction in the car. This study aims to investigate the effects of different mesh cover hole rates on the frequency response and sound quality of loudspeakers. The research begins by analyzing the theoretical impact of mesh covers on the radiation characteristics of loudspeakers. Next, objective measurements are conducted to assess the frequency response characteristics of loudspeakers equipped with mesh covers of varying hole rates. Finally, subjective experiments are carried out to verify the influence of different mesh covers on the sound quality of the loudspeakers. The findings reveal that the mesh cover primarily affects the high-frequency region of the loudspeaker's frequency response. Additionally, a lower opening rate of the mesh cover presents a greater obstacle to the radiation characteristics of the loudspeaker. These results provide valuable insights for the design of loudspeaker mesh covers in cars.

摘要: 车载扬声器大多布置在车内门板、A 柱等位置,为了车内美观需求,一般会使用网罩 将其遮挡。然而,网罩的遮挡将会导致扬声器的辐射特性产生变化,对车内电声重放效果产 生不利的影响。文章研究不同开孔率网罩对于扬声器频响及其音质的影响,首先从理论分析 了网罩对于扬声器辐射特性的阻碍作用,然后客观测量了安装不同开孔率网罩扬声器的频率 响应特性,最后通过主观实验验证了不同开孔率网罩对扬声器重放信号音质的影响。研究结 果表明,网罩对于扬声器频响的影响主要体现在高频区域,同时网罩的开孔率越小,对扬声 器辐射特性的阻碍越大,文章为车内扬声器网罩的开孔率设计提供了重要的参考依据。
