Abstract: With the application of "Fast modeling" technology based on subdivision in the field of automobile styling by global automobile enterprises, more and more automobile styling practitioners begin to learn and study this new modeling technology. This paper will start with the advantages and disadvantages of subdivision modeling compared with the traditional non-uniform rational b-splines (NURBS) modeling, briefly describe the significance of subdivision modeling and its application stage. Then briefly introduce the CATIA IMA (Image&Shape) module and its common commands. Finally, a larger space is used to descrcribe the specific implementation methods, modeling ideas and skills of "fast modeling" based on CATIA IMA, it is intended to enable the relevant practitioners to quickly understand, master and apply this new technology.

摘要: 随着基于细分方法的“快速建模”技术在汽车造型设计领域被全球车企所应用,越来 越多汽车造型从业人员开始学习并研究这一新兴建模技术。文章将先从细分建模相较非均匀 有理 B 样条(NURBS)传统建模的优劣势入手,简述细分建模存在的意义及其应用阶段;然 后简要介绍 CATIA IMA(Imagine&shape)模块及其常用命令;最后应用较大篇幅阐述基于 CATIA IMA“快速建模”的具体实施方法、建模思路及技巧,意在使相关从业人员能够快速 理解、掌握、应用这一新技术。
