Abstract: Carbon fiber lightweight material is an important means to realize lightweight of automobiles, which has a wide application prospect in the automobile field. The VARI molding process carbon fiber hood was studied. The process flow and lay-up of the hood were designed according to the VARI molding process characteristics and mechanical properties of the hood. The finite element model of VARI molded carbon fiber hood was established in the finite element software, and finite element calculation and analysis were conducted on the stiffness of VARI molded hood. The result shows that the installation deformation, edge deformation, torsional stiffness, and impact deformation of the VARI molded carbon fiber hood meet the design requirements, the adoption of VARI molding process can effectively reduce the weight of the hood and achieve lightweight of car body.

摘要: 碳纤维轻量化材料是实现汽车轻量化的重要手段,在汽车领域具有广泛应用前景,文章对 VARI 成型工艺碳纤维引擎盖进行研究,根据 VARI 成型工艺特点及引擎盖力学性能设计了引擎盖的 工艺流程和铺层方式,在有限元软件中建立了 VARI 成型碳纤维引擎盖有限元模型,并对 VARI 成型 引擎盖的刚度进行有限元计算分析。结果表明,VARI 成型碳纤维引擎盖的安装变形、边缘变形、 扭转刚度、冲击变形均符合设计要求,采用 VARI 成型工艺可有效降低引擎盖重量,实现车身轻量化。
