Abstract: The increase in the complexity of automotive electronic and electrical functions requires a more comprehensive and accurate automotive diagnosis strategy. This article summarizes the functions and elements of the definition of automotive diagnosis strategy, and summarizes the principles and development procedures to be followed in the definition of automotive diagnosis strategy with examples. Considering the above factors in the design and development, it is possible to avoid problems such as non-reporting of faults and false-reporting of faults due to unreasonable definition of the diagnosis strategy.
