Abstract: Taking the abnormal acceleration noise of a passenger vehicle as an example, the problem is checked and improved by means of test. First of all, the phenomenon of the problem point and the occurrence condition were evaluated subjectively and tested objectively, and 350 Hz~450 Hz was identified as abnormal sound frequency band. Secondly,testing the vibration on the powertrain and dismantling the parts, the correlation between the acceleration abnormal noise and the torsional vibration of the crankshaft is confirmed. Finally, by testing the torsional vibration of the crankshaft on the vehicle and improving the working frequency of the torsional vibration damper, the amplitude of the torsional vibration of the crankshaft is reduced and the abnormal acceleration noise is eliminated.
