Abstract: This study addresses the challenges of "large-class teaching" in new energy vehicle programs at vocational colleges by exploring the application of project-based learning (PBL) in teaching vehicle control technology. Through curriculum restructuring and task chain design, the "theory+simulation+practice" teaching strategy is implemented alongside formative assessment and multidimensional evaluation systems, aiming to enhance students' practical application, collaborative innovation, and engineering problem-solving skills. Additionally, by incorporating ideological and political education elements tailored to new energy vehicle programs, the study improves the effectiveness of curriculum-based ideological education. Comparative analysis of parallel classes reveals that the PBL model designed for "large-class teaching" demonstrates significant advantages in improving students' fault diagnosis and teamwork capabilities.
