Abstract: Taking the truck door assembly as the research object, the formability, modality and anti-concavity of the truck door assembly after using the lightweight scheme of dual-phase steel and laser welding were studied through the simulation analysis of the finite element software Autoform and HyperWorks. The results show that the body of the parts for outer plate of DP450 dual-phase steel and the inner plate of the laser welding are well formed. The first-order torsion frequency of the door is 27.95 Hz and the first-order bending frequency is 41.44 Hz. The main excitation frequency is avoided well in each mode. The maximum deformation of the anti-concavity is 3.83 mm, which meets the requirement of truck door design less than 7 mm. It is feasible to use DP450*0.7 mm dual-phase steel as the plate material of truck door and 0.8 mm, 1.0 mm inner plate of laser welding. This scheme can achieve a weight reduction of about 5kg and a weight reduction ratio of about 20.5%, which can be used as an alternative material selection scheme for future models.
