Abstract: In order to improve the maintenance convenience and reduce the maintenance cost of heavy duty truck, this paper puts forward a maintenance evaluation method in the product design and development stage, which includes two aspects: maintenance convenience and maintenance cost. Through this method, the maintenance convenience of products can be evaluated scientifically and reasonably, and the problems finds can be optimized and improved in time. At the same time, taking the maintenance of a heavy tractor as an example, the evaluation method of maintenance cost is explained, and the point of view that long oil change can reduce maintenance cost is put forward. The evaluation method can not only provide reference for users, but also provide reference for engineering designers to improve.
