Development of Pedestrian Protection aPLI Leg Type Collision Safety Performance

摘要: 为应对日益严苛的行人保护评价体系,降低汽车与行人碰撞事故中行人的腿部损伤风 险,文章剖析了各法规中行人腿型碰撞器(aPLI)腿型的评价要求,以欧洲新车安全评鉴协 会(E-NCAP)五星认证为目标,针对先进的最新一代 aPLI 腿型展开研究。通过分析其损伤 机理,借助仿真计算不同下支撑方案对 aPLI 腿型的影响规律,并开展实车验证。结果表明, 对于该款运动型多用途汽车(SUV)车型,在接近角 18.5°条件下,小腿支撑的布置位置及 30 倍密度泡沫支撑块方案的优化效果最为显著。实车验证结果显示,该方案有效可行,aPLI 腿型碰撞测试可达到 E-NCAP 满分标准,为后续车型的行人保护开发提供了重要技术参考。

Abstract: In order to cope with the more and more strict evaluation system of pedestrian protection and reduce the leg damage of pedestrians in automobile-pedestrian collisions, this paper compares the evaluation requirements of advanced pedestrian legform impactor (aPLI) leg type in various regulations, and takes European new car assessment programmex (E-NCAP) five-star as the target, takes the newest aPLI leg model as the object of study, analyzes the damage form of the aPLI leg type, and calculates the effect of different calf support schemes on the aPLI leg type using simulation, and wells the real vehicle verification. Optimization results show that: for this sport utility vehicle (SUV) model, when the approach angle is 18.5°, the position of the lower leg support and the scheme of 30-ratio foam support block have the most obvious effect on the optimization of leg type. The results show that this scheme is effective, and the aPLI leg type can reach full score of E-NCAP, which provides guidance for the development of subsequent models.
