Abstract: As the global digital transformation progresses, the automotive industry evolves into a strategic emerging sector, integrating multiple industries, fields, and technologies, fostering the unique role of field engineers tailored to on-site demands. Widespread adoption of new technologies like intelligence, electrification, and connectivity in the auto sector has profoundly altered field engineers' job functions and skill sets. This paper delves into the digital landscape and its implications on automotive field engineer, proposing strategies to foster a collaborative educational ecosystem, bolster teachers' engineering practice-based pedagogy, refine educational methodologies, and establish a digital curriculum framework. These measures aim to cultivate automotive field engineers adept at digital transformation, it provides a path reference for training the new era field engineers.
