Abstract: The vehicle traction control system (TCS) is to control the slip rate of the vehicle driving wheel in the process of vehicle acceleration, mainly through the engine or motor torque reduction and wheel end braking to control the driving wheel skid, in order to achieve the body stability. This paper introduces the working principle, system architecture, signal interaction requirements and practical application examples of another driving wheel slip rate control function (vehicle drag torque control). Unlike TCS function, the drag torque control (DTC) function is one of the value-added functions of electronic stability controller to realize vehicle stability control under low adhesion road surface and non-acceleration conditions. According to the application scenarios of DTC function, the actual performance of the vehicle when the DTC function is activated in braking and non-braking scenarios is illustrated. The results show that the vehicle with DTC function can avoid the front axle loss of steering caused by the lock of the driving wheel or the rear axle rejection during operation, which is conducive to improving the stability of the vehicle. Bring more superior driving safety experience to the driver.
