Abstract: With the continuous improvement of higher education quality requirements of the state, curriculum ideology and politics as an important way to cultivate students' socialist core values and moral qualities have been paid more and more attention. This paper takes the course of Automotive Electrical Equipment and Maintenance as the carrier, integrates the ideological and political content with the professional course, digs deeply into the ideological and political elements of the course, builds the teaching syllabus integrating the ideological and political elements, demonstrates the implementation process of the course ideological and political elements in the course through two classroom teaching cases, and designs the key points of the ideological and political elements according to the content characteristics of each chapter. The methods of integrating ideological and political elements and the educational goals to be achieved are discussed. In the future, it is necessary to continue to deepen the ideological and political teaching reform of the curriculum, continue to invest resources, carefully plan and apply it to practice, and truly root the ideological and political elements in the hearts of students, and ultimately cultivate high-quality professionals with feelings of family and country, patriotism, social responsibility and so on.
