Abstract: On the road section without signal control, pedestrian crossing behavior is an important factor that interferes with the normal driving of mixed traffic flow. Disturbed vehicles are usually accompanied by drivers' driving behaviors such as rapid acceleration and rapid deceleration, which will cause unnecessary increase in vehicle energy consumption. In this paper, aiming at the influence of pedestrians crossing the street on mixed traffic flow on the road section, the relationship between pedestrian crossing time and headway is analyzed, and the road safety is classified according to the results of road safety questionnaire survey, so that the safety analysis model of the road section without signal based on headway is put forward, and the feasibility of the model is verified by solving an example. The results show that the road safety analyzed by the model is in good agreement with the analysis results based on the headway distribution and the subjective safety feeling results of pedestrians crossing the street. With the improvement of road safety, the rapid acceleration and deceleration of mixed traffic flow are significantly reduced, which can provide some reference for the study of ecological driving concept under mixed traffic flow.
