Abstract: With the rapid increase of car parc, traffic accidents occur frequently. The main cause of accidents is related to the driving behavior of drivers. For drivers, their driving behavior can be expressed as driving style. By means of questionnaire, this paper analyzed the influencing factors of driving style of passenger car drivers and the relationship between driving style and traffic violations and accidents. The results of data analysis showed that driving style was influenced by gender, age, driving experience and education level. There was a high correlation between drivers' traffic violations and accidents and their driving styles of risk-taking, anger, distraction and anxiety. Drivers with safe driving styles have a relatively low probability of accidents. The measurement of driver's driving style can help to evaluate the driver's competence and take appropriate intervention measures to reduce the occurrence of traffic accidents from the driver level.
