Abstract: With the continuous increase of vehicle ownership, vehicle noise has become the most important part of urban traffic noise. It’s seriously polluting the urban environment and affecting people's work and life. This paper mainly introduces vehicle test standards and methods through a model example. The key points of muffler quality are found through experimental spectrum analysis and simulation. At last the influence of exhaust system on acceleration noise outside vehicle is discussed by comparing the optimization of muffler before and making sample. It is verified that the air flow velocity in the exhaust system is also one of the key factors affecting the vehicle.
