Abstract: In order to solve the problem of the front disc brake hub fracture during the road test test in the development process of the brake of a certain SUV model, the authors carried out the wheel hub fracture electrostatic scanning detection, material chemical composition, metallographic structure, dynamic the simulated loading state moment loading, bearing locking force bench test, etc.. The results show that the bearing locking force actually provided by the actual vehicle drive shaft cannot reach the locking force required by the theoretical calculation of the bearing. In the process of road test and handling stability test, the tire is microscopically eight-shaped in the Y direction of the whole vehicle. The wheel acts as the focal point, and the bearing squeezes the matching end face of the wheel hub. With the rotation of the wheel, a step is gradually formed, and the wheel hub is fatigued fracture. By optimizing the bearing locking torque and improving the bearing axial locking force, the wheel hub fracture of this model is well controlled and meets the design requirements.
