Abstract: Welded pipes with the production of convenience, high efficiency, complex section characteristics of machinability quickly occupy the market. In order to study the application of welded pipes in commercial vehicles, the paper analyzes and researches welded pipe and seamless pipe production process, surface quality and machining performance and dimensional accuracy, discusses the feasibility in the commercial vehicle using welded pipe instead of seamless pipe. The results show that the welded pipe has the advantages of good appearance quality and high dimensional accuracy, and can be used instead of seamless pipe under certain conditions, and can also improve the consistency and lightweight effect of the product.
